  1. How do I download an entire Bible, are they ony availble as a series of pdf’s or can I download an entire bible as a pdf somehow ?

  2. Hi,We used to provide them as 1 full PDF, but as some of the Bibles are around 1 GB it would take an hour to show up in the browser. So, they are split PDFs of a page each.

  3. Hi,  Do you happen to know the origin of the map that appears in the 1606 edition of the Geneva Bible?  Thank You & Best Regards,  John

  4. Hi, I thought you might like to use this on your web site, or for yourself. A free prayer book by Matthew Henry called ‘A Method for Prayer’ 1710 edition, with added devotional prayers, Bible helps and a glossary of 2400 words of the KJV. You can use the audio files for the book if you like. http://www.mrmatthewhenry.com

  5. Hi, I have a question regarding the Royal Coat of Arms that appears in some versions of the 1611 KJV between “The Names and Orders of All the Books of the Old and New Testaments…” page and the first page of the Geneologies.  In the version that you have on your website and the version that the Schoenberg Center for Electronic Text and Image have on their website this page is blank, but in the facsimile reproduction that I purchased from Greatsite.com the Royal Coat of Arms appears on this page.  Any idea which came first…the blank page or the coat of arms…and why there was a change? Thank you

  6. What is different about the 1789 KJV Bible as compared to say the 1909 edition? Why would someone prefer to use the 1789 edition rather than the 1909 edition?

  7. Wouldn’t it be great … in this age of word processing and movies if a reputable Bible Publisher printed
the Gospels in such a way that each Gospel is written in a different colour and they are compiled in such
a way as to read as one story but with little or no commentary?
It could be called “Just Gospel” and would be designed to appeal to ordinary people who find that the
Good News has been lost in a venerable pile of less relevant stuff.
I was moved to try it with your 1982 Revised Authorised Version and it really helped me to realise that
Mathew was chosen because he was the nearest thing to a tape recorder!
By instant comparison I effortlessly got a feeling for the different witnesses. I was a lawyer and this is
how any lawyer would prepare an important brief!
Every one responds better to natural story telling …. it is only human!
Why don’t you print such a volume and use all your skills to market it so that some other lost sheep might be found?
I honestly don’t think that it has been done but think that time is of the essence!
It could be done by Christmas if not before but copyright precludes me from being so arrogant as to think
that I am the right man for the job.
I really feel that it’s at least a hundred years over due!
Please consider it well and let me know if you think that God would like it.
Hopes and prayers ….. Robert Mercer.

    1. Hi,

I checked the Jewish Publication Society’s website and I could not find them selling one. I think they were issuing a text only PDF version for free to download at one time.

I would not want to recommend any shops here as we are an “online library for Bibles” and we try not to get involved with sales and the money side of Biblical matters.

  8. I am a Bible collector with 3200 volumes of English translations of the Bible & parts thereof. In addition, I have downloaded over 6500 digital facsimile copies of English translations of the Bible & parts thereof. Most all of these were downloaded in pdf format which does not take a lot of time to download. With Adobe’s free reader one can do a search through the large document, making it easier to find what you are looking for. With the proper Adobe, you can batch all of your single pages into one pdf very, very fast with not much know how.

By the way, check me out on amazon.com. Use their search window.

  9. Dear friends I think your Bible initiative is absolutely wonderful. If I may ask, could I get a printed copy? I am a severely disabled veteran and using digital things is very difficult for me. That is why I’m asking. But I do not want to be a burden oranything. Just in add here is my address. 129 John Ramsey Rd, Wiggins MS 39577 Thank you so very much.

    1. Hi,

We do not provide printed Bibles unfortunately! I wish we could. Please contact the nearest Bible society or Gideons.
